First, I want to ask you both --- what is the purpose of the game? Why did you choose us, specifically?

The purpose - though I believe this has been mentioned - is to determine the victor in a battle between good and evil.

[Though she does sound a little bored with that explanation.]

As for why you've been chosen - I chose you with the intent that you would be able to leave this game victorious.

We did not decide that - it was simply how it was always meant to be.

Beauty and the Beast were only from the most recent iteration of the war - the one before this.
